A wind tunnel facility is an unmatchable tool for applying  uniform air flow to measure turbine blade  performance in a reproducible way.

The real world, however, offers chaotic gusty pockets of moving wind, not nearly as well behaved as a controlled laboratory wind.  We use our mobile test vehicle and equipment to investigate these more typical winds in open countryside conditions.

Complementing field conditions data, we achieve an accurate approximation of wind tunnel testing using the same mobile equipment during carefully chosen still night conditions.  Combined computerized data collection and mobile charging apparatus give realistic modeling of our turbine performance under all climatic conditions.

In summary, this method has provided a very effective method of measuring airfoil behavior and performance over the whole spectrum of wind conditions.   It has been a most effective and accurate development tool.
