Delco 10SI / 12SI standard rotor pole pieces
- special high permeabilty low eddy current loss pole pieces
- splined for press fit onto standard shaft
- in converting to a permanent magnet alternator (PMA), an NdFeB
magnet fits between these pole pieces (instead of an excitation coil)
Note: remember high field strength pole pieces are difficult to position
( special jigs are normally required to guide pieces together in assembly))
