Planetary gear to increase turbine rotor speed

- a very efficient (98%), compact way to increase wind turbine shaft speed (for a PMA)
- the output shaft (large) goes 3.11 times faster than the input shaft (small)
- this is a very cost effective way to improve the rotor speed of a turbine
- steel gears, torque rating:  110 in-lb
- can be used 3 ways; either clamp the ring gear or small shaft   or large shaft
                                                             (the other 2 rotate as expected)
- very versatile, has many applications, a great design tool
- often a difficult gear unit to find, by itself
