Large wind turbines are in the world spotlight these days. Technology, fuel prices, and global warming concerns have brought rapid progress in their development and success. Based on their proven technology, APT has scaled the variable pitch concept down into our small variable pitch wind turbine, the EXTRACTOR model. Affordable to cottage owners or anyone operating off-grid, it is the first small wind turbine in the marketplace to offer this sophisticated control method along with its many advantages. We believe our turbine has not only met scaling down challenges, which are formidable, but has also successfully addressed the new turbine design goal of low speed wind capture.
